Motor model is a code that is convenient for the use, design, manufacturing and other departments to conduct business contacts and simplify the description of product name, specification, type, etc. in technical documents. Next, we will introduce the meaning of motor model and other information.


1、 Motor model composition and meaning


Type code, motor feature code, design serial number and excitation mode code are composed of four sections in sequence.


1. The type code is the Chinese phonetic alphabet used to represent various types of motors.

2. The characteristic code represents the performance, structure or purpose of the motor, and is also represented by Chinese phonetic alphabet.


For example, the explosion-proof type uses B to represent Yb, and YT is used on the axial fan

YZD for variable speed YD crane, etc.


3. Design serial number refers to the sequence of motor product design, expressed in Arabic numerals. For the products designed for the first time, the design serial number is not marked, and the products derived from the series products are marked in the order of design. For example: Y2 YB2


4. The excitation mode codes are represented by letters, s represents the third harmonic, J represents the thyristor, and X represents the phase complex excitation.


For example: y2-- 160 M1 – 8


Y: Model, indicating asynchronous motor;


2: Design serial number, "2" refers to the product whose design is improved on the basis of the first time;


160: center height, which is the height from the shaft center to the plane of the base;


M1: base length specification, M is medium, in which footnote "2" is the second specification of M-type iron core, and "2" type iron core is longer than "1" type iron core.


8: Number of poles, "8" refers to an 8-pole motor.


For example: y 630-10 /1180


Y refers to asynchronous motor;


630 means power 630kw;


10 pole, stator core outer diameter 1180mm.


2、 The specification code is mainly expressed by center height, base length, core length and pole number


1. Center height refers to the height from the motor axis to the bottom corner of the base; According to the different center height, motors can be divided into four types: large, medium, small and micro, of which the center height is


H in 45mm~71mm belongs to micro motor;


Small motors with h of 80mm~315mm;


H in 355mm~630mm belongs to medium-sized motor;


H above 630mm is a large motor.


2. The length of the engine base is indicated by international common letters: S - short engine base

3. The length of the iron core is represented by Arabic numerals 1, 2, 3, 4,,, and from long to short.

The compilation method of motor model generally consists of the following four parts: first, product code, second, specification code, third, special environment code, and fourth, supplementary code.


I. product code


That is, the series and type code of the motor. Generally, it is composed of the Chinese phonetic prefix of one or several letters in the Chinese characters of the series and name of the motor, such as:


Y AC asynchronous motor


T AC synchronous motor


TF AC synchronous generator


Single phase asynchronous motor for YDT electric valve


In this part, the international common letter code that has been used for many years is sometimes used. For example, the code of AC single-phase capacitor motor is YC, of which C is the international common capacitor code.


When the letter code is followed by an Arabic number, this number represents the design serial number or modification times of this series of products.


II. Specification code


It is the code of motor specification form. It includes: motor structure parameters, such as seat number, core specification, center height, flange end cover code, motor performance parameters (pole number, capacity, voltage, current, speed, etc.).


In this part, items that can be expressed in specific numbers are given in Arabic numbers, such as center height, rated voltage, etc; If it is impossible or difficult to express with specific numbers, it shall be expressed with letters or numerical codes.


For example, the length of the base is represented by l\m\s (long, medium and short English words and letters), and the different iron cores of the same base are represented by numbers such as 1, 2 and 3 (the larger the number, the longer the iron core). The flange end code is represented by the international letter symbol FF (with through hole on the flange) and the value of the base circle diameter of the center of the flange fixing hole. It is expressed by center height, base length, core length and pole number:

IV. supplementary code is only applicable to motors with supplementary requirements


The contents include installation methods, derived serial numbers, etc., which are composed of letters (except for the special symbols with unified regulations, the Chinese phonetic alphabet prefix is generally used) or Arabic numerals.

132 the center height of the motor indicates that the distance from the axis to the ground is 132 mm


S length of motor base, expressed as short base

For example, V1 indicates that the motor should be installed vertically (with the main shaft facing down); P18 indicates that the motor is the 18th derivative product. The content represented by the supplementary code shall be specified in the product standard.


For example: yd2-160m2-4 th V3, where:


Yd2 is the first part, 160m2-4 is the second part, th is the third part, and V3 is the fourth part.


Yd2 indicates that the motor is a common pole changing multi (d) speed three-phase (y) step motor of the second design or the second generation product


160 means the base number of the motor is 160. For the motor with foundation, it is directly the shaft center height (unit: mm); For the motor without feet, it means that the height of the motor base and the axis is 160mm, and the inner and outer diameters of the base with feet are the same.


M2 stands for medium length frame; The length of iron core used is No. 2


4 indicates that the number of poles is 4


Th indicates that the motor can be used in hot and humid environment


V3 indicates that the motor is installed vertically when used, and the main shaft is extended upward.


Motor includes motor and generator. It is the general term of generator and motor, which are conceptually different from each other. However, some motors, such as synchronous motors, are generally used as generators, but they can also be used directly as motors. Asynchronous motor is more used for motor, but after adding simple peripheral components, it can also be used as a generator.
